How does OptiCred benefit optometric practitioners?

OptiCred is a patient finance solution whereby patients can pay for their optometric expenses over an 12 month period. We settle our partner practices on a weekly basis thereby enhancing cash flow. We take the risk of a patient not being able to pay and ultimately becoming a bad debt. OptiCred has an established client base which could also lead to additional revenue in your practice. It is a well-known fact that patients who have accounts are more loyal than cash paying customers.


What does it cost to be a OptiCred partner?

OptiCred charges a 10.09% settlement discount, no upfront and monthly charges. Simply put if the invoice is R1,000 we will settle R899.10.


What makes OptiCred attractive to the customer?

OptiCred is a product aimed at making access to optometric services more affordable through offering an alternative payment method to Medical Aid. OptiCred is a revolving credit facility with instalments over 12 months and no penalties for prepayment. Customers can be pre-approved within 30 seconds.

Customers can spend at any of our OptiCred practice partners www.opticred.co.za.


How does a patient sign up to OptiCred?

Once your practice is signed up we will send you a marketing pack. This pack includes application forms, a counter top stand and a poster. Patients can sign up by completing an application form and scanning it to our call centre, alternatively patients can SMS Name*Surname*ID Number*Gross Monthly Income to 41052 where our automated credit rule systems will pre-qualify them within 30 seconds. Should a patient pre-qualify they can complete the application form on their smart phones and receive approval within 15 minutes. Patients can also sign up at www.opticred.co.za. We also provide our partners with the code to include the OptiCred web sign up on their websites, so a patient can go to your website and signup.


What admin is required from a practice front desk?

The only time the front desk is involved is when it comes to processing a transaction.


How does a practice process a transaction?

Simply log on to http://www.ftapp.co.za/transact/TransactionLogin/0c6c3031-c803-4569-aaa2-96c8726022af enter the patients ID, verify the patient has funds available, enter the amount of the transaction, verify the patients ID and click activate credit.


How does a practice sign up?

Simply log on to www.opticred.co.za/partner and enter your details. Don’t forget to send us proof of your banking details so we can verify the account before we make payment.
